The rainbow journey continues: LGBT+ Fantasy and Sci-Fi at the Edge of the Universe

Hello again, galactic glitters and unicorns of dreams! As we promised, we will continue our rainbow-colored journey through the wonderful worlds of sci-fi and fantasy. Our Pride month continues, and so do our stories - this time we're taking a step deeper into the depths of literature, televised artwork and the entire forgotten comic book culture.
Let's start with red, the color of love and passion. In this color scheme, there is certainly a place for "Carmilla", a web series woven with glitter and vampire lies, which is not afraid to show love in its most diverse forms and to spoil its viewers. It is like a Drop of Blood against the white neck, capturing the attention and luring you deeper into the story.
Orange, that sunset-tinged hue of the sky, introduces us to the series "Orange is the New Black." Just like its colors, the series is full of warmth and life, and its prison setting offers plenty of opportunities to look at our society from a slightly different perspective.
Yellow, that symbol of daylight, brings to mind Octavia Butler's masterpiece, "Dawn". Butler's ability to bring to light the complexities of humanity, including issues of gender, sexuality and race, is almost supernatural - like a ray of sunshine that illuminates the darkest corners.
Under green, the color of nature and life, we can place Merja Nieminen's cartoon "Kotona". In the middle of that green world lives a group of characters who break the norms and live their lives to the fullest.
Under the blue sky rises the collection "The Left Hand of Darkness" written by Ursula K. Le Guin. This work explores the concept of gender and the relationship between the sexes in a coolly analytical, but also deeply human way.
Indigo, that mysterious and profound color, is like made for the "Torchwood" series. This "Doctor Who" spin-off explores a wide range of topics, including the diversity of sexuality and relationships, in all its gothic glory.
And finally, purple, the color of the crown. It takes us to the world of the "Steven Universe" series, where anything is possible and where love is always stronger than hate. This animated series is like an intense amethyst in color - deep, rich and strikingly beautiful. The series introduces us to a cast of characters as diverse as the rainbow itself. And their adventures, big and small, directly reflect the experiences, dreams and aspirations of the LGBT+ community. Steven Universe is a universal story about how we should all be able to be ourselves, full of depths, contradictions and colors, just like purple.
Across the rainbow, these works celebrate the LGBT+ community in their own unique way. They tell us that we are all part of the same wonderful spectrum, whether it is here on Earth, somewhere on the other side of the galaxy, or somewhere in the depths of a fantasy world. So dive into it, let the colors take you away and remember - you are always welcome. Happy Pride Month!
