KapyKompass: Journey to Diversity and the World of Mysteries - Kapybaras in Our Hearts

Oh, as they say, "change is the only constant." Or at least someone said that once somewhere. But don't let the little things bother you, because today we are here to celebrate the change and the chaos it brings - in honor of the new name, KapyKompass!

KapyKompass, you may not have heard of it yet. It sounds like some kind of device that guides capybaras in the right direction in life, and if you are aware of capybaras, you know that they have a special ability to not care about anything, especially their direction in life. But it's not about capybaras - well, not really - it's about us. Of us looking for direction, meaning, and sometimes just a funny story amidst the absurdity of the universe.

When NeuroFitNet became KapyKompass

Once upon a time, there was a man named Yrjö (Editor's note: name and gender changed), who was a fanatical friend of neuroscience, sports and nerdiness. He was so passionate about these things that he started a website called NeuroFitNet. Everything was fine until one day he met the most peaceful creature in the world - a capybara (Second Ed. Note. Yrjö had already fallen in love with capybaras before and that's really where this started, but if we now focus on this name thing...).

The capybara was sitting on a park bench, reading Isaac Asimov's "Foundation" series. Or at least that's what Yrjö imagined. The capybara didn't speak much, but its eyes reflected great wisdom and understanding of what life really meant. Yrjö understood that it was time to change direction, to look for a new path. The capybara may not have been aware of the diversity of sexual orientation, but it was still undeniably a symbolic figure representing permissiveness and understanding.

And so, KapyKompass was born. Not just to guide capybaras, but to guide us all towards diversity, tolerance, and of course, sci-fi and fantasy.

KapyKompass isn't just a website, it's an expedition. And like any good trip, we have a compass and a map, and yes, we have capybaras - those guys who always seem to know where they're going, even though they really don't.

Come along, because we have a lot more planned than just a change in name. We have trips to distant worlds where LGBT themes are not only accepted but also celebrated. We reflect on how "Star Trek" broke taboos and made room for diversity decades ago, and how "Doctor Who" (have you heard the latest news about the new Doctor Who???) took time travel to the next level, making room for all kinds of people and creatures.

KapyKompassi is more than just a name; it is a manifesto. It is a commitment to guide you and me towards a better understanding of ourselves, others and the entire universe. Through sci-fi and fantasy, through the lens of LGBT themes, we can explore life's big questions that even capybaras can only smile mysteriously at.

And so, my friends, welcome to KapyKompass. It's like a compass, but better because it has a capybara. And who wouldn't want a capybara to guide them through life's complicated mess?
